A privately owned company competing in the telecom industry had seen their sales tumble by 50 percent over a four year period. While much of this decline had to do with the nature of their product line and the technological advances taking place in the telecom industry, an initial review of the business indicated the need for a clearer understanding of those internal and external factors that were inhibiting performance. As a result, the client agreed to work with us in performing a situation analysis of these internal and external factors, along with identifying the company’s core competencies. From here a new mission was created for the business, along with a series of strategic thrusts and associated actions. With the new plan in place and changes in the company’s internal structure, the business is once again thriving, showing attractive revenue and profit growth as a result of these efforts.
